Is my selfie public?

No, your selfie isn’t visible to anyone. Only team Salams could see it to verify the photos.

Why do I need to give camera access?

The access to your camera is solely for the purpose of verifying and authenticating your profile. All other photos remain private. Camera access allows us to authenticate the realness of your profile.

Why is selfie verification important?

Selfie verification allows us to prevent spam profiles from being created. We request every user to take a selfie of themselves upon sign up. In order to help to ensure a person is who they say they are, our customer care agent manually checks that their selfie matches all the profile pictures the user upload. No biometric information (e.g; face geometry data) is collected nor stored during that operation as it is a manual check. We keep your selfie for the duration of your account to verify each new picture you upload.
